In Msconfig under boot i selected to use maximum memory which shows as 16GB there. Tried googling for steps to unlock that but cant find anything for my current bios F.39 Already tried doing F9 and then CTRL F10. Since its HP laptop its bios doesnt show advanced tab. Its suppose to support up to 32GB according to CPU world website. The cpu is an AMD A6-5200 with apu HD8400. Because right now on idle laptop shows usage of 2.1GB of 7.5GB.

I would like to reduce the hardware reserved memory so the main memory can be higher than 7.5GB. Under Windows 10 task manager I can see that it knows 16GB memory is installed but usable memory is at 7.5GB and 8.5GB memory is hardware reserved. I have the latest bios update from Insyde F.39 that came out in 2017. Reset bios to default settings but didnt help.

Ran memory diagnostics and they are good. Recently decided to upgrade my old HP Pavilion 15 laptop from 8GB to 16GB.
